Our brilliant team members, Mehak Verma, Vaibhav Lachhwani, Anshika Gochar, and Parth Sharma emerged victorious at the Odoo Hackathon 2024, organized by IIT Gandhinagar. Selected from over 900+ teams, team Twix showcased exceptional innovation and technical prowess, securing the first position for their groundbreaking solution addressing mental health and wellness issues. Congratulations to the team on this remarkable achievement!
“Swachhata Lakshit Ekayi (Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs))” and "Sampoorna Swachhata"

On October 1, 2024, #IIITKota accomplished a comprehensive cleanliness activity under the campaign of “Swachhata Lakshit Ekayi (Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs))” and "Sampoorna Swachhata," with a focus on transforming challenging and neglected areas ("black spots"). The Faculty, Students, and Safai Mitras actively participated in the initiative. The target areas for this drive were the premises near Ranpur Lake and the nearby Mandir. Teams worked diligently to clean up these locations, enhancing their aesthetic appeal and promoting tourism. This cleanliness drive reflects IIIT Kota's commitment to environmental well-being and community development.
Induction Program 2024

Department of HMAS, IIITKota conducted two-day sessions on UPNAYAN, the Induction Programme for B.Tech.-1st-year students, on October 15th and 16th. Guest speaker Prof. Manju Singh from MNIT Jaipur addressed the students.

Git Sprint by GDG

Git Sprint by GDG on Campus was an exciting opportunity for our tech-savvy students at IIIT Kota. The program began with interactive quizzes and hands-on seminars that laid a solid foundation in Git and GitHub. On day two, the participants tested their newly acquired abilities by contributing to real-world open-source projects, resolving difficult situations, and earning points. It was an excellent opportunity to learn, interact, and make a constructive contribution to the open-source community. Keep up the great work, coders! Your passion and dedication are inspiring.
Garba Gravity 2.0

Garba Gravity 2.0, a vibrant cultural event of two days filled with music, dance, and festivities was organized by the Creative Arts and Cultural Society, at #IIIT Kota. The event was full of tradition, innovation, and unity. From traditional dances to modern music, the performances wowed the audience. The highlight of the evening was the Garba dance, which brought the campus community together and made the event a memorable occasion. The rhythmic beats of Garba filled the air with festivities as the central lawn transformed into a vibrant hub of music, dance, and energy, creating a truly magical atmosphere. We are thankful to everyone who made this event a resounding success!
Entrepreneurship Encouragement Conference and Felicitation of Successful Entrepreneurs

October 9, 2024 witnessed the outstanding Entrepreneurship Encouragement Conference and Felicitation of Successful Entrepreneurs, organized by Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota and a unit of Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), Ranpur. This event was held under the esteemed aegis of Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, and aimed to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation. The conference marked the momentous release of the book "Organic Entrepreneurship: A Nation of 37 Crore Startups," penned by the eminent Prof. Rajkumar Mittal of Indraprastha University, Delhi. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished industrialists Shri Bajrang Kumar Sabu, who chaired the occasion, and Shri Govind Ram Mittal, a national executive of Laghu Udyog Bharati, honored as the chief guest. Dr. Anand Agarwal, Associate Dean of Student Welfare, graced the event as a distinguished guest, while the esteemed educationist Shri Nandkishor Jetwal delivered the keynote address. The conference honored a distinguished group of entrepreneurs for their remarkable achievements. Tanmay Goyal, Aditya Rathi, Man Maheshwari, Shubham Sharma, Shreyansh Jain, Umang Goyal, Ramanuj Verma, Jaskaran Harmeet, and Jitendra Singh were all felicitated for their entrepreneurial excellence. Sports Felicitation for AY 2023-24

The Sports Felicitation for AY 2023-24 was held at IIIT Kota on October 8, 2024, with the guidance and support of Prof. K.K. Sharma (Coordinator IIIT Kota), Prof. Harlal Singh Mali (Dean Student Welfare), Dr. Anand Agrawal (Associate Dean, Student Welfare) and Dr. Ashok Kumar Kherodia in association with Dr. Rahul Makkar (Sports Coordinator). Inter and intra-sport winners were recognized in cricket, Kabaddi, football volleyball, athletics, and other sports. Faculty and staff members were also recognized for their cooperation and dedication in organizing the event.
Research Trajectory

Alumni Cell, IIIT Kota had distinct privilege on October 5th 2024 to host Yashash Jain, a distinguished alumnus from the ECE 2021 batch, as part of our "Research Trajectory" series. Yashash, a Gold Medalist, GATE AIR 46, and a Scientist at SAC ISRO, shared his inspiring journey and valuable insights into the GATE examination and research domain. His discussion also highlighted pathways to secure positions in government PSUs, equipping our students with the knowledge to navigate their future careers effectively. We are thankful to Yashash for his inspiring words. The event was organised under the guidance and support of Prof. Manish Vashishtha (Dean, Alumni and Industry Outreach), Dr. Chetna Sharma (AD, Alumni and Industry Outreach), Dr. Ashok Kumar Kherodia and Dr. Abhay Upadhyay for their support. The event's success had dedicated efforts of our student coordinators and the exceptional support from IIIT Kernel. Their contributions are instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of such initiatives and enhancing the overall experience for our students.
Swachhata Hi Seva -2024

As part of the Swachhata Ki Bhaagidari pillar of the Campaign "Swachhata Hi Seva -2024", IIIT Kota organized Slogan Writing, Painting Competition, and Swachhata Quiz activities at Government School, Ranpur, Kota. The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. K.K. Sharma, Coordinator, IIITKota, and Prof.H.S. Mali, Dean, Student Welfare and Wellness & Health, IIITKota, along with their team, which included event coordinators Dr. Veena Khandelwal and Dr. Rahul Makkad, as well as student volunteers from IIIT Kota's CACS Club. More than 200 students from the school participated actively in various competitions. The program was successful in drawing students' attention to the need for cleanliness in their school. The event also encouraged students to share their ideas about cleanliness and sanitation in creative ways, as well as tested students' knowledge and understanding of the topics. Stationery materials and drawing sheets for the painting competition were also distributed to the students.
Workshop on "Foundation of AI for HPC and HPC for AI"

Dr. VCV Rao, Consultant in C-DAC, Pune on National Supercomputing Mission visited IIIT Kota and the one day workshop held on 14-Sep-2024. The workshop explores the intersection on High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), focusing on how these technologies enhance each other. It covered the foundational concepts, practical applications, and emerging trends in leveraging HPC for AI and vice versa. The key topics such as GPU, Accelerated Processing Unit, Combination of Low level and High level APIs, Workflows, Framework, AI Sys, AI compilers and AI accelerators were discussed. Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of how HPC and AI can be synergistically combined to address complex problems and drive innovation. The workshop emphasized the transformative potential of integrating HPC with AI and provided participants with the skills to leverage these technologies for advanced computing and data analysis.

Upnayan: Induction Program -2024

The first-year orientation at IIIT Kota played a crucial role in setting the stage for the incoming class of 2024. Held over the course of several days in mid August 2024, the orientation program was designed to immerse the new students in the vibrant academic and social fabric of the institute. During the orientation, the new students were warmly welcomed by the IIIT Kota community, including the esteemed faculty, senior peer mentors, and student leaders. Through a series of interactive sessions and informative presentations, the new students gained a comprehensive understanding of the institute's academic programs, course structures, and degree requirements. One of the highlights of the orientation was the opportunity for students to engage directly with faculty members from each department. These personalized interactions allowed the new students to learn about the diverse research areas and specialized courses offered at IIIT Kota, helping them make informed decisions about their academics. In addition to the academic focus, students were introduced to the wide range of student clubs that thrive on campus. The new class was encouraged to explore their interests and get involved in activities that complemented their academic pursuits. The orientation also served as a platform for the incoming students to connect with their senior peers. Senior students shared valuable insights and guidance, offering a smooth transition for the new students. Overall, the first-year orientation at IIIT Kota was a success, providing the class of 2024 with a robust introduction to the institute's vibrant academic environment, diverse extracurricular opportunities, and supportive community.

TechKnow society of IIIT Kota successfully organized the TechSummit from 23rd to 25th February, 2024. Vigilance Awareness Week 2023

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota held a Vigilance Awareness Week program from October 30th to November 5th, 2023, aimed at promoting vigilance, ethics, and integrity. Participants participated in seminars, and interactive sessions, learning about vigilance principles and fostering a culture of responsibility. The program emphasized transparency and accountability in professional and personal life, fostering a commitment to upholding integrity among the community.
FDP PM Gati Shakti

A two week long AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy sponsored Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Sustainable Logistics, Connectivity and Digital Supply Chain Management strategy using 5G Technology " under PM Gati Shakti Scheme was conducted from 18th to 23rd November 2022 in online mode and 26th to 30th November 2022 in offline mode. The FDP was organized by the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Malviya National Institute of Technology in collaboration with the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Information technology Kota.

IIIT KOTA HEATS AND EVENT LEAGUE (KHEL) IS THE ANNUAL SPORTS FESTIVAL OF THE IIIT KOTA. THIS SPORTS MEET IS A PROMINENT SHOWCASE OF SPORTING TALENTS FROM INSIDE THE INSTITUTE. KHEL IS AIMED TO PROVIDE A PLATFORM TO ALL THE STUDENTS OF THE INSTITUTE T O EXHIBIT THEIR TRUE POTENTIAL, PROMOTING HEALTHY COMPETITION. A TOTAL OF 358 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN DIFFERENT EVENTS OF 12 SPORTS.
Workshop on “The significance of Ayurveda in contemporary times”

Women's Cell, IIIT Kota, MNIT Jaipur campus hosted a seminar on “The significance of Ayurveda in contemporary times” on 26th September, 2022. Dr. Hetal Harishbhai Dave was invited to deliver a lecture that would educate everyone about the same. Through her lecture Dr. Hetal Harishbhai Dave focus on the evolutionary history of ayurveda and local health traditions. An Ayurvedic treatment plan focuses on restoring your doshas through a combination of diet, exercise, massage, Ayurvedic products, yoga and meditation. This multi-pronged approach provides a greater opportunity for healing and overall wellness. Ayurvedic medicine aims at maintaining and restoring body’s own capability to have balance and fight with ailments. Ayurveda is from nature itself; the nature contains many useful plants and trees which has the ability to cure almost every disease which is facing by mankind. It has the distinction of being the oldest medical system known to man and the oldest and most comprehensive spiritual teachings in the world. It is based on the principle of maintaining a balance between the interrelated relationships within the body and mind. It originated in India and has evolved there over thousands of years. By the proper balance of all vital energies in the body, the processes of physical deterioration and disease can be reduced. This is accomplished through proper eating, thinking and living habits as well as the use of herbal remedies to treat illness. The lecture on the importance of Ayurveda and its part in women's health was both educational and entertaining. Everyone's understanding of Ayurveda and the critical role it can play in enhancing the human body, especially in women, was enhanced by the discussion.
DRDO Sponsored Workshop on Quantum Computing

Quantum Computation represents an important change of paradigm, where the concept of bit gets transformed into a quantum bit, or qubit, which affords for an enormous information stor- age and processing capacity. In this program, organized by the Indian Institute of Information Technology the basic concepts of Quantum Computation will be introduced at a conceptual level. An abundant set of exercises will allow to acquire sufficient skill to develop your own quantum algorithms and circuits. The course will take place at IIIT Kota from 21th to 25th of Jan 2022 and is aimed at researchers, teachers students and industrialists. Participation in this workshop is open to faculty members/PhD Scholars/PG Students and people from industry. Since the number of seats are limited to 100, the selection will be made on first come first serve basis and intimation will be sent to the candidates through email. Certifi- cates will be issued to the participants only after attending the complete course.
